The George Brown College is a publicly funded college of applied arts and technology with three campuses in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Like many other colleges in Ontario, George Brown College was chartered in 1966 by the government of Ontario and opened the following year. George Brown offers more than 170 full-time programs in art and design, business, community services, early childhood education, construction and engineering technologies, health sciences, hospitality and culinary arts, preparatory studies, as well as specialized programs and services for recent immigrants and international students. George Brown College students experience real-world learning through field education, applied research and other Work Integrated Learning opportunities. Our strong connections to industry mean students experience the latest tech and trends they can expect in the field. All our career-focused programs  include at least one experiential learning opportunity, which could include field education, learning in a simulated work environment, participating in applied research projects or campus incubators, among others.

George Brown College is supported and accredited by government since 1967. The College is regulated by The Ministry of Colleges and Universities Act – R.R.O. 1990, Reg.771. The college is also an accredited member of Polytechnics Canada and Colleges and Institutes Canada. Additionally, its Centre for Business programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
